Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain effectual and energy-saving operation of a multiple room type air conditioner employing a compressor the capacity of which is varied in a stepless manner, by detecting defference of temperature in each chamber and a setting temperature, effecting a proportional control of the capacity of the compressor according to the temperature differences, and displaying the capacity of the compressor in each room.
CONSTITUTION: Temperature-difference signal producing circuits 8A, 8B produce temperature-difference signals VT relating to the temperatures in each room and a setting temperature and apply the signals VT to a signalling circuit 11. The circuit 11 selects a higher value of the temperatute-difference signals TV and produces a capacity controlling signal Vc for determining the maximum speed of a compressor, which is applied to a compressor controlling circuit 12. The circuit 12 controls the compressor speed according to the signal Vc and displays the compressor capacity at indicators 17 via a variable-frequency power source unit 14 and a signal converting circuit 18. Further, the circuit 12 controls a solenoid valve controlling circuit 19 and a coolant valve 5 via an operation controlling circuit 13. Thus, it is enabled to attain effectual and energy-saving operation of the air conditioner by displaying the operating capacity of the compressor in each room to be air-conditioned.
