Abstract
PURPOSE: To save liq. or gaseous fuel for ignition by using an ignition burner only in ignition at the beginning of the operation of a sintering machine and spouting a gas contg. oxygen in a direction opposite to the progress direction of the pallet to carry out ignition and burning.
CONSTITUTION: Blended starting material 1 is continuously fed onto a pallet 5 with a drum feeder 3 through a sloping plate 4. The layer 8 is apparently produced at the same place. The material 1 ignited with the gas contg. oxygen is thoroughly sintered before it reaches the ore discharge section, and it is discharged as sintered ore.
