Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve high temperture corrosion resistance of blade tio in a gas turbine blade of Ni base super alloy by using high Cr-low γ type Ni base super alloy containing specified wt% of Cr of alloy composition for the blade tip.
CONSTITUTION: A blade tip of Ni base super alloy in a gas turbine is cut by about 2mm. Filler alloy consisting of about 25wt% of Cr and the remaining % of Ni is welded to such cut portion by TIG. Further, about 2mm of high CR-low γ type Ni base super alloy containing about 20W40wt% of Cr is spray welded to said portion. This blade tip is subjected to Al coating after forming and heat treatment. The high Cr-Ni base super alloy can be provided by fusing beforehand, then spattering , diffusing and bonding it. Also, since the tip has high ductility when it has a large amount of Cr and few γ' it is prevented from cracks when it slides on a shroud.
