Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain good dehydrating effect and to make notably water contents of dehydrated cake reduce by sandwiching sludge between a pair of filltering belts and pulling these with plural rollers. CONSTITUTION:A pair of belts 1, which are provided in sliding contact with and meanderingly to the outside of circumferential part at cylindrical rollers 21-26, is connected to a pulling device and drived in a fixed direction. At the space which is formed by the part where a pair of belts 1 leaves from roller 21 to reach for roller 22 and the part from roller 22 to roller 23, a cylindrical spring 3 as an elastic material is provided at a compressed state. And in the same manner as above mentioned, at the spaces where are formed in facing each other by the belt 1 leaving from another roller, respectively same cylindrical springs 3 are provided. Sludge 6 is sandwiched between by the belts 1 and then press-contacted by a side wall of the cylindrical spring 3 having water permeable materials 5 at the outside of the sludge. Therefore the force pressing sludges 6 at a pressing part 4 is determined rather by the pressure of the cylindrical spring than a tension of the belt 1 and the dehydrating effect is remarkably improved.
