Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A germanium compound of thiazolidine derivative shown by the formulaI[R1 is hydroxyl group, lower alkoxy, or amino; R2 is H, or phenyl which may have substituent group (OH, acyloxy); R3 is H or lower alkyl].
EXAMPLE: Tetra[3-(4-carboxy-3-thiazolidinyl)-3-oxopropylmercapto] germane.
USE: Having strong inhibitory actions on an enzyme capable of converting antiotensinI, exhibiting antihypotensive actions, useful as an antihypotensive agent.
PROCESS: A thiazolidine derivative shown by the formula II is reacted with germanium oxide in an aqueous medium, to give a compound shown by the formulaI.
