CONSTITUTION:A multiplier having a DC voltage applying terminal on its input side is added in a feedback circuit of an eddy current range finder of feedback amplifying type to permit adjustment of a feedback impedance. For example, in order to measure a distance between a detecting oil 3 and a measured material 1, a multiplier 7 having an input terminal X used for applying DC voltage is inserted in the feedback circuit of an amplifier 4 in addition to a feedback impedance Zs, the amplifier 4 functioning to amplify the voltage of a standard oscillator 2. By controlling the input to the multiplier, it becomes possible to arbitrarily set output characteristics in relation to a relative distance between the detecting coil 3 and the material to be measured.
