Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the injection of the electric current which exceeds a breaking current point by the resultant current of di/dt above the breaking capacity of a test breaker and of which the resultant current after exceeding the current zero point does not pass by the zero point again possible by providing a high frequency vibrating current source and a non-vibrating current source of CR to an equivalent tester for breakers by a synthesis test method. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency vibrating current source and a non-vibrating current source of CR are provided to an impulse circuit IMP as an injecting current source for arc extension. First the high frequency vibrating current is superposed just before the zero point of breaking current I1 to said breaking current, and the current of a non-vibrating gradually attenuating waveform from another current source is superposed in a polarity inversion direction at the polarity inverting after half cycle thereof. Thereby, the passage of the breaking current through the zero point is made high di/dt, and after the passage of the zero point, it will not pass by the zero point again, thus the arc extension is made possible surely, and the stable breaking performance test is carried out.
