Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve an efficiency of engine by a method wherein an ignition time is delayed in its ignition angle when a plasma ignition is performed and a difference in combustion speeds is commodated by an ignitior device in which a plasma ignition and a normal ignition may be changed over to each other. CONSTITUTION:Low voltage generating circuit for a plasma ignition for use in supplying a voltage to a plasma ignition plug 6 is operated or non-operated by a switch 30 so as to change over the plasma ignition and the normal ignition. Two breakers 35 and 36 for use in sensing a normal ignition time and a delayed ignition time for plasma ignition are applied and they are selectively used by a switch 37. High speed of combustion in the engine is found in case of a plasma ignition, so that an ignition time is caused to be delayed more than the normal ignition time. Thereby, even in case of the plasma ignition, an efficiency of the engine may be improved.
