Abstract

PURPOSE: To recover efficiently energy of liquefied natural gas and increase power- generation output by returning a part of liquefied natural gas in the oulet side of a direct expansion-cycle system into the inlet side of the same system after it is liquefied again in a regenerator provided in the same system.
CONSTITUTION: A cold heat power-generation apparatus is provided with a direct expansion-cycle system in which liquefied natural gas in a liquefied nautral gas stroage tank 1, after being gasified during its passage through a pump 2, a condenser 3, and No.1 heat exchanger 4, is used to generate power by driving a main turbine 5 and then supplied as fuel from a supply outlet 10 to the outside after being heated in a No.2 heat exchanger 6. The apparatus is also provided with a system for a secondary medium cycle in which the secondary medium, condensed in a condenser 3, is heated and gasified through a heat exchanger 8 after being pressurised by a pump 7 and is used to generate power by driving a sub-turbine 9. In this case, a part of the gas in the outlet side of the turbine 5 is returned into a passage 11a after being fed into a regenerator 12 and being gasified herein.
