Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance reliability by applying pressure for the measurement of fuel volume and injection timing with a mechanical unit which pressurizes by vertically operating a plunger separately installed.
CONSTITUTION: A plunger chamber 16 is formed by a plunger 8 and a bore 6 in the lower part of a piston chamber 10 for an injection nozzle and a fuel compressing unit 1 and an injection nozzle. The chamber 16 is communicated to a fuel measuring unit 3 through a check valve 17. A plunger 22 is fitted inside a barrel 21 of a pressure generating unit 2. The plunger 22 is provided with a head notch 25a and bottom notch 25 and revolves synchronously as an engine operates. A plunger 32 is fitted into a barrel 31 of a fuel measuring unit 3. The plunger 32 is provided with a notch 36 for measuring the volume of fuel, and synchronously revolves as an engine operates. The amount of fuel supply is determined by a suction hole 35 and the notch 35, and sent to the plunger chamber 16. The fuel in the plunger chamber 16 is injected by the revolution of the plunger 22.
