Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to monitor the condition of water in a stable manner for a long period of time, by determining consumption of ozone content in water kept in a reaction tank by measuring decrease in oxygen content in the tank. CONSTITUTION:Ozone-containing gas which is formed in an ozonizer is made to pass through a pump 4 and sent into specimen water in a reaction tank 2 through an air diffusing pipe, and exhaust gas from the reaction tank 2 is made to pass through a dehydrator 3 and sent back to the ozonizer. When oxidization of ozone progresses in such a closed circulation reacting system, oxygen in the system is consumed and the pressure decreases with progress of the reaction. And therefore, by detecting difference in pressure between the atmosphere and inside of the reaction tank 2 by a pressure difference signal generator 5, ozone consumption can be measured. Degree of dependence of the pressure on temperature is determined by measuring temperature of the exhaust gas by a temperature sensor 8 and a temperature converter 6, and then, compensation is made by an operator 7.
