Abstract
PURPOSE:To accomplish an accurate ghost cancellation signal, by giving a pilot pulse signal formed immediatly before the ghost detecting section to a delay circuit, and storing the signal at a tap of the delay line with a pilot pulse signal detected from the signal at a tap of the post stage. CONSTITUTION:A vertical synchronizing signal from a synchronizing separation circuit 16 is applied to a pilot pulse generating circuit 51 to obtain the pilot pulse at the leading edge of the vertical synchronizing signal. This pulse is applied to an adder 52 and superimposed on a ghost detecting signal. This signal is given to a demultiplexer 12 to obtain the pilot pulse at the tap of the final stage. This signal is applied to a pilot pulse detection circuit 53 and a gate pulse is produced at a gate pulse generating circuit 38. At this time point, a ghost detection signal distributed on each tap of the demultiplexer 12 is stored in capacitors 181-18n. Thus, even if the delay characteristic of the demultiplexer 12 is changed, the change in ghost cancelling time point is avoided.
