Abstract

PURPOSE: To discriminate and detect abnormal sound with good accuracy by multiplying and dividing the output signals of the respective detectors which detect disturbing noise and the sound generated from the object to be measured respectively.
CONSTITUTION: Factory noises are input to a multiplying-dividing circuit 10 by way of a microphone 2, analog delay circuit 9, etc. On the other hand, the sound generated from the object to be measured is input to the multiplying-dividing circuit 10 by way of a microphone 3, etc. When both inputs thereof are of the same level, the multiplying-dividing circuit 10 outputs their product and when the levels of both inputs vary, it makes level correction and outputs their product. These are then supplied to a sum average circuit 13 by way of a positive value average circuit 11 and negative value average circuit 12 respectively. Thence, in a decision circuit 16, the output levels of the average circuits 11, 12, 13 are discriminated and further logic operations are accomplished, whereby the presence or not of any abnormal noise and the cause for the same are decided. Since in this way no influences are given to the discrimination even if disturbing noises become large, the abnormal noise may be discriminated and detected with good accuracy.
