Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to safely and accurately measured the potential distribution on the brush surface sliding with respect to a commutator when the load of a DC machine suddenly increases or decreases, by performing measurement by employing an insulated brush divided into a plurality of pieces. CONSTITUTION:The width, in the sliding direction, of a commutating brush 11 sliding with respect to a commutator 10 is divided into six pieces, and insulated brushes 12, which are insulated from each other and slide with respect to the commutator 10, are insulated from a stud 13 and arranged with the brush 11. Lead wires 14 are connected to the insulated brushes 12 and the stud 13, and the potential differences between the respective insulated brushes 1-6 and the stud 13 are fed to a DC insulated amplifier 15 for an oscillograph and recorded on a recording paper 17 in a Visicoder 16. At the same time, the terminal voltage 18, armature current 19, revolution number 20 and the like of the DC machine being measured are also recorded on the same recording paper 17. Thereby, it is possible to smoothly measure a plurality of measuring points on the commutating brush when the load increases or decreases suddenly.
