Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an engine from being stopped, by allowing a fuel injection synchronous signal to be supplied to an injector of each cylinder even if an engine speed sensor breaks down.
CONSTITUTION: When an engine speed sensor 1 or its wiring breaks down due to disconnection, or in addition to said break down an engine speed sensor 2 or its wiring due to disconnection goes wrong, a flip flop 7 continues to be reset whereas a flip flop 89 is set. Subsequently, an AND gate 86 is opened and signals from an ignition signal sensor 79 are counted by a counter 87, a flip flop 88 being set to open an AND gate 84 when the counter 87 counts a predetermined value. On the other hand, an output of a 1/2 divider is fed into an AND gate 8 via the AND gate 84 and an OR gate 85. A signal sent from the ignition signal sensor 79 passes through an AND gate 90, being led as a fuel injection synchronous signal via OR gates 75, 76.
