Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure microflow rate with good accuracy by providing an isolator which displaces according to rate of introduction into a cylindrical body having fluid inflow and outflow ports, and detecting the displacement speeds of said isolator. CONSTITUTION:An isolator 2 which has a sealing ring 3 on the outide circumference is provided in a cylindrical body 1 of known inside volume, and valves 6, 7 are provided between the fluid inflow passage 4, fluid outflow passage 5 of the body 1, and the body 1. Further, a by-pass flow passage 8 communicating the chamber B of the cylindrical body and the passage 4, and a by-pass flow passage 9 communicating the chamber A of the cylindrical body and the passage 5 are provided in order to move the isolator forward and backward. Valves 10, 11 are provided to the respective by-pass flow passages. The isolator 2 moves from the left to the right when the valves 6, 7 are opened and the valves 10, 11 are closed and from the right to the left when the valves 6, 7 are closed and the valves 10, 11 are opened, according to flow rates. If the moving time thereof is measured with a scale 12, the flow rate is measured.
