Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the flickering at the A.C. lighting by forming an electronic recoupling section in the proximity of the filament at both sides of a fluorescent tube thereby increasing the inner surface area in the proximity of the filament. CONSTITUTION:Squeezed sections 3, 3A are formed as the electronic recoupling section in the proximity of both open ends of a cylindrical glass tube 1 encapsulated with mercury and inert gas while coated with phosphor subsistance on the inner face. Since the inner surface area in the proximity of the filaments 7, 7A in the glass tube 1 is increased, large amount of electron and ion will reach to the squeezed section 3 to promote the recoupling between them. Large amount of electron supplied from the space in the proximity of said section 3 through the ionization will increase the field strength in said space while increase the electron speed thus to reduce the occurrence of Farady dark region beta. Even during the half cycle of A.C. lighting where the filament 7 will be an anode, the strength of the emitted light will scarcely change. Consequently the flickering during A.C. lighting can be eliminated.
