封体内において対向する放電電極とを具え、かつ
封体内に水銀と水銀以外の金属とハロゲンとを封
入してなる混合金属蒸気放電灯において、 前記封体は段部によつて区画され外端方向に延
びる拡大径部による凹所が形成されてなり、前記
段部は、拡開の始まる位置が前記放電電極の先端
を基準として中央側に１０mm乃至外管側に５mmの
領域内に位置するよう形成されたことを特徴とす
