Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the quick and accurate measurement of heat resistance possible by maintaining one of heat insulating spaces enclosing the respective faces of a sample at a constant temp., controlling the other to a prescribed temp. while supplying quantity of heat, preventing the dissipation of quantity of supplied heat by heat insulation controlling and integrating the quantity of supplied heat with time. CONSTITUTION:The space enclosed by a heat insulating material provided with cooling pipes 7 on one side of a sample 1 is kept at a constant temp. thetao. On the other hand, the other space enclosed by a heat insulation wall 2 is supplied with quantity of heat via an internal heater 3 and is controlled in a way as to assume a prescribed temp. thetai, thus assuming a steady state in a shorter time as compared to the case when a constant quantity of heat is supplied. Differential thermopiles 5 are controlled by the heaters 4 in the wall 2 in such a way that the outputs thereof go zoro, and heat insulation controlling is accomplished by a heat insulation compensating wall 6 or the like for making the temp. gradients of the sample 1 equal, whereby the dissipation of the quantity of supplied heat is prevented. Hence, if the quantity of supply heat which remains unconstant after the steady state is integrated and measured with time, the heat resistance of the sample is measured quickly and accurately in accordance with temps.
