Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the process of printing by discriminating between a full-size and a half-size screen by discriminating notches of a film or intervals of screen frames, and then by switching optical systems and turning photographic paper. CONSTITUTION:When a negative film 12 has full-size screens, the discrminatig means of a detection block 15 selects a full-size negative mask 8 and a lens 9, and on a printing table 19, the lengthwise direction of a turning means 20 coincides with the running directon of rolled photographic paper 23 for the printing of positive pictures. When the half-size screen part of the negative film 12 comes, the detection block 15 operates a switching means and the said mask and lens are changed over to a negative mask 10 for half-size and a lens 11. At the same time, a photographic paper holding means including a printing table 19 and rollers 17 and 18 is turned 90 deg. through the turning means 20 to perform continuous printing process on the rolled photographic paper 23.
