PURPOSE:To permit automatic correspondence to the change in the sizes of image planes by changing mask sizes, exchanging lenses and deciding the sizes of the image planes of photographic films automatically in correspondence to the change in the sizes of the image planes of said films. CONSTITUTION:After a roll film 32 is detected of whether it is a full size or half size by a detector, it passes through an automatic image deciding part 100. In a film mask part 200, it is subjected to exposure controlling by an exposure control part 400, and images are formed on the photographic paper 41 of the size regulated by a mask 42, through a lens of a lens mount part 300. The printer contains a control part having a memory which controls the part 4000 in accordance with set-up information. With each of the part 100, the part 200, the part 300 and the part 400, the changing and controlling in correspondence to the sizes of the image planes are accomplished in accordance with the full and half information of the sizes of the image planes.
