CONSTITUTION:When correction of an input data instructed by operating a prescribed key of a keyboard 16, a format controlling circuit 26 outputs an instruction for correction, and a line to be corrected, to a correction controlling circuit 40. The correction controlling circuit 40 reads out a data of a line to be corrected, from a data memory 10, transfers it to a data buffer memory 24, and also read out a corresponding line format parameter from a memory 12. The format controlling circuit 26 reads out a line format corresponding to this read-out parameter, from a memory 14, and executes input check as to a data to be corrected, which is inputted from the keyboard 16, in accordance with said line format. When the correction has ended, it is stored in the data memory 10 through a transfer controlling circuit 34.
