Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove dead rewriting in case of a fixed error, by providing a correction bit showing whether a bit error has been corrected or not in the past, on a micro-instruction, and rewriting only the first bit error in a micro-instruction storing circuit. CONSTITUTION:In case when a micro-instruction read out by a micro-instruction holding register 11 is not detected nor corrected as to 1 bit error in a 1 bit correcting circuit 12, a 1 bit correction instructing signal 102 is logical ''0'' and a normal operation is executed. In case when 1 bit error of the micro-instruction is detected and corrected and also a correction bit 110 is logical ''1'', the signal 102 is logical ''1'', a data selecting circuit 10 receives a correction data 100 and rewrites a corrected micro-instruction from the micro-instruction of the register 11, to the register 11, but no rewriting is executed to a micro-instruction storing circuit 16. Also, in case when 1 bit error of the micro-instruction is detected and corrected, and also the correction bit 110 is logical ''0'', the signal 102 is logical ''7'', therefore, the micro-instruction is corrected and is rewritten to the circuit 16.
