Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound which is an intermediate raw material for an agricultural chemical, etc. in high yield, by reacting a specific ester with a Grignard reagent, adding an amine, etc. as a stabilizer to the formed reaction system, and treating the system in an inert gaseous atmosphere.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I (R' is alkyl or aryl; X' is halogen) is reacted with a compound of formula II (R is alkyl or aryl; X is halogen). A stabilizer consisting of one or two or more amines, e.g. triethylamine, dibutylamine, dimethylaniline and DMF, or a mixture of the thriethylamine with an alcohol is added to the formed system after the completion of the reaction. The reaction system is then subjected to the after-treatment, e.g. filtration, washing with a solvent or concentration in an inert gaseous atmosphere to give the titled compound of formula III. The addition of the stabilizer suppresses the decomposition of the aimed substance and improves the yield thereof.
