Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the simple and easy measurement of the irregularity between axial centers while keeping a rotating shaft rotating possible by disposing electromagnetic coils near the end of the revolving shaft and measuring the values of the inductive currents changing in accordance with the distances between both. CONSTITUTION:The measurement of the irregularity between axial centers is made possible irrespectively of the presence or absence of rotation by detecting the change in the distance between the end of a rotating shaft and electromagnetic coils by the change in the inductive current by the electromagnetic coils. For example, an electromagnetic primary coil 7 and a secondary coil 8 are mounted in a spacer 6 for shaft joint in a position near the end face of a rotating shaft 1 and away from the axial center by using a holder 15. When AC is flowed to the primary coil by way of a conductor 13, a brush 14, a primary electrode 10, a lead wire 9, etc., the voltage corresponding to the distance between the coil and the shaft end is induced in the secondary coil. If a notch is given to the electrode 11 of the secondary coil, the rotating position of the coil is known, and the irregularity of the axial centers is easily measured.
