Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform agitation of good efficiency in a wide viscosity range by combining a paddle vane with a helical ribbon vane. CONSTITUTION:Fluid as filled in a tank body 1, and a helical ribbon vane 4 and a paddle vane 7 are rotated respectively by driving shafts 2, 6 in mutually opposite directions as shown by arrows. Then, in the outside circumferential part of the inside of the tank, the downward axial flow is induced together with the swirling flow in the rotating direction of the vane 4 rotating along the inside circumferential wall of the tank 1 by said vane. On the other hand, in the central part of the tank 1, the above-described rotating flow is disturbed by the bafflelike effect of the vane 7 rotating in the opposite direction; at the same time, this is converted to powerful upward axial flow. As a whole, the flow circulating largely in the form of convection in an axial direction while swirling is formed. Further, the small circulating flow surrounding the vanes 4, 7 is locally formed around the vanes 4, 7, and the agitation of the fluid is accomplished by the mutual effect of each of such flow.
