Abstract
PURPOSE: To secure the favorable jet without apprehension of the strength, by controlling a hydraulic pressure controlling valve provided to a fuel discharge passage of a pump chamber through an electromagnetic valve according to the operation condition of the engine so that the highly pressurized fuel is not loaded directly to the electromagnetic valve.
CONSTITUTION: The pump chamber 20 is connected through the fuel discharge passage comprising a recess 21 in the upper surface of a nozzle holder, a passage 24 in a cylinder 1 and a pipe 36 with the spool type hydraulically operated controlling valve 54. A hydraulically operated chamber 70 on the upper surface of the controlling valve 54 is connected to the electromagnetic valve 59 that is controlled to open or close through a passage 37 according to the rotation and load of the engine and controls to introduce working hydraulic pressure to a working chamber 70. Thus, since the electromagnetic valve 59 is controlled according to the rotation and load of the engine, the jetting timing and the jet amount can be made suitable, and since the controlling valve 54 is controlled by the electromagnetic valve 59, the highly pressurized fuel is not directly loaded to the electromagnetic valve 59 and apprehension for the strength is obviated.
