Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the pressure pulsation generated in a power unit for a hydraulic elevator without making the power unit larger by connecting a stop valve between the controlling valve and the muffler.
CONSTITUTION: In a power unit 1, a controlling valve 9 and a muffler 11 are connected so that the valve 9 is on the side of a pump 6 and the muffler 11 is on the side of a hydraulic jack 14, and a stop valve 13 is connected between the valve 9 and the muffler 11. When the hydraulic jack 14 is operated, the pump 6 causes the oil in an oil tank 4 to be supplied through the controlling valve 9, the stop valve 13 and the muffler 11 to the hydraulic jack 14. On doing this, the pressure pulsation generated by the pump 6 or the cavitation pressure pulsation generated by the controlling valve 9 can be reduced at the muffler 11, and at the same time the pressure pulsation generated by the stop valve 13 can be reduced, so that a low-noise power unit can be obtained.
