Abstract

PURPOSE: To wholly make it compact and facilitate manufacturing the valve body and the piston in such a way that a back pressure chamber is formed by idly inserting a subpiston on the opposite side to the inlet side of the piston, in a direct-acting relief valve.
CONSTITUTION: When working liquid is fed through an inlet port 4 into a hydraulic chamber 11, the working liquid is filled through a passage 21 into a back pressure chamber 23. In result, liquid pressure is worked so that a piston 6 moves to the right from the transverse area of a piston 6 at the part where it is idly inserted to a cylinder 2 to the area subtracted the transverse area of a subpiston 22 at the part where it is idly inserted to a hole 20. When liquid pressure to move the piston 6 to the right becomes higher than impetus force of a resilient body 9, the piston 6 is moved to the right, and an outlet port 5 is opened. When liquid pressure on the hydraulic chamber 11 becomes lower, impetus force of the resilient body 9 makes the piston 6 move to the left and closes the outlet port 5. Thus, the determined value of the resilient body 9 can be diminished.
