Abstract
PURPOSE: To offer an atomizer having a simple compact constitution without necessity of any special liquid-feeder and to enable instantaneous atomization, by conducting the injection of a liquid from a nozzle opening and its supply from a tank by one reciprocation of an electric vibrator.
CONSTITUTION: The atomizer involves a main body 6 in which a hollow pressurized chamber 7 is formed, a nozzle 9 formed in an opening part 8 at the top end of the pressurized chamber 7, and electric vibrators 15, 16 to apply vibration to a liquid in the pressurized chamber 7. The pressurized chamber 7 is provided with a liquid-feed opening 33. The electric vibrators are constructed by piezoelectric transducers, and attached to the main body 6 through a cylindrical support 12 parallel to the axial direction of the pressurized chamber 7. When the piezoelectric transducers 15, 16 curve toward the nozzle 10, a pressure inside the pressurized chamber 7 rises, and the pressure becomes higher toward the top end and reaches an extremely high level near the nozzle 10 owing to the horn shape. Consequently, the liquid is almost instantaneously atomized into very fine particles.
