Abstract

PURPOSE: To protect a secondary air supply tube and improve a cooling effect by disposing said tube along the innermost discharge tube and communicating said tube to the discharge tube.
CONSTITUTION: On end of a secondary air supply tube 10 is connected to one of discharge tubes 61W63 provided between a discharge port 3 and a discharge manifold 7, that is the innermost discharge tube being in the nearmost position to a frame F of a vehicle body, wherein said tube 10 is extended over and along the discharge tube 63 and the discharge manifold 7, the other end of said tube 10 is opened in a clean air chamber of a air cleaner 5 and on the way of said tube 10 a lead valve 11 is provided. With the aforementioned constitution, the valve 11 is opened by a discharge pulsive pressure generated in the tube 63 and the clean air in the cleaner 5 is passed through said tube 10 into the discharge tube 63 to clean an exhaust gas. Further, said tube 10 is protectively surrounded by the plural tubes 61W63 and extended along the discharge pipes 63, whereby a good cooling effect is obtained.
