Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow to feed out batches of a certain number of piston rings continuously without yielding defects such as scratches on piston rings, by operating receiving claw and separating claw alternately on piston rings with opening being fed through inclined shoot. CONSTITUTION:An inclined shoot 2, having a plate form portion at the under side to align openings 80 and circular section to the upper portion is prepared, to which piston rings 8 are aligned. At near to the lower position of the inclined shoot 2, a separating device 1 is installed. To the separating device 1, a separating claw 12 which moves up and down by cylinder 13 and a receiver claw 11 which moves alternately to the opposit direction to separating claw 12 by a link. By this arrangement, in the condition that receiving claw 11 is supporting the lowest piston ring 8, the separating claw 12 decends to support the side face of the piston ring 8 exceeding a certain number and simultaneously the receiving claw 11 rises and a certain number of piston rings are separated. Then a separated group of the piston ring is guided by the guide 7 at the lower end of the shoot 2 and the piston rings 8 are piled up with the openings 80 aligned.
