PURPOSE:To facilitate adjusting of focusing in the exposure optical system and the like of a copying machine of which conjugate length is determined by providing an adjusting mechanism which changes the distances between plural lens arrays. CONSTITUTION:An object surface 11 and an image surfacw 12 are disposed in parallel at a spacing L, and lens arrays 13, 15, 17 and mirrors 14, 16 are disposed respectively therebetween in prescribed modes. The array 13 is mounted slidably to a bar 24, and is so arranged that the optical axis from the arrays does not deviate. The array 17 is mounted in a like manner to a bar 30. The mirror 14 is mounted at 45 deg. on a moving pin 26, and is so arranged that the angles to the arrays 13 and 15 are always equal. the mirror 16 is also made into the similar constitution. If an oscillating lever 21 is oscillated around a stationary pin 22, the mirrors 14 and 16 move in mutually opposite directions according to turning of the array 15, and the distance between the arrays 13 and 17 with respect to the array 15 changes.
