Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the reduction copying- and magnification copying systems which are mutually in a reciprocal relation, other than unmagnification copying, to be set easily and accurately by the simple constitution of moving in parallel the two base platens each mounted with an in-mirror lens and a reflection surface in one body.
CONSTITUTION: At the unmagnification copying shown in fig. A, the light from an original 1 is reflected by a mirror M5, and the mirror M6b on a base plate 4, and enters the in-mirror lens L2 of a base platen 5 where it is reflected by its mirror surface. This light is imaged from the mirror M6a on the base platen 4 to a photosensitive drum 3. At the magnification copying shown in fig. B, the base platens 4, 5 move in an upward direction perpendicularly to the optical axes of the in-mirror lenses L1, L2 so as to approach to the original surface respectively from the state at the unmagnification copying. Further at the reduction copying in a reciprocal relation, the base platens 4, 5 move in a downward direction perpendicularly to the optical axes of the in-mirror lenses L1, L2 respectively from the positions at the unmagnification copying, and the copying is thus accomplished.
