Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance resistance to vibration and impact by a method wherein a fluidic diode is placed in a head or in a part of an ink supply pipe in the vicinity of the head in such a direction as to inhibit the flow of an ink toward the head. CONSTITUTION:For example, the fluidic diode 9 analogous in is provided between a tube 7 and the head 1 and it is provided with tunnel-shaped passages 10, 11, 12, 13. A fluid is permitted to flow from the passage 11 to the passage 10 through the passage 13. On the other hand, when the fluid flows from the passage 10 to the passage 11, the fluid is divided into two portions which flow through the passages 12 and 13, respectively, and collide against each other, producing a large resistance to the flow of the fluid. The diode effect is applied to a high-velocity flow or a flow showing a rapid change. Accordingly, even if vibrations are applied to the tube 7 or a tank 8 is vibrated to cause the ink to vibrate, the rapid change in the flow of the ink generated on such occasion is absorbed by the fluidic diode 9 and the effect of the vibration on the head 1 can be alleviated greatly.
