Abstract

PURPOSE: To restrain the flux increase and to maintain the ejection pressure under constant regulation by allowing the hydraulic oil to leak to the intake side through a gap formed between the end surface of the pump body and side plate which shifts toward the pump body when the ejection pressure of the pump exceeds the prescribed value.
CONSTITUTION: When the rotation rate of a drive shaft rises due to extrinsic factor and the ejection pressure exceeds the prescribed spring pressure exerted on a side plate 11 which is inseted into and movable axially within an internal space 9 of a cover 7, the side plate 11 is shifted outward against the spring pressure producing a gap between the side plate 11 and the end surface of geaes 4 and 5. However, the oil is always returned to the intake side through this gap without being sent back to the ejection side except the one ejected from the ejection side since the oil pressure at the ejection side is higher than that at the intake side. Consequently, the increase of the flow rate is restrained and the ejection pressure is maintained under constant regulation.
