Abstract
PURPOSE: To maintain an ideal condition for fuel ejection when the engine output is increasing and when it is decreasing, by providing a large needle valve, and a small needle valve which opens at a pressure lower than the pressure required for opening the large needle valve, and also providing nozzle holes corresponding to these needle valves.
CONSTITUTION: High pressure fuel F reaches large oil chamber 4 from inlet 1c via path 2, and then it reaches small oil chamber 6 via path 5. When the fuel pressure in small oil chamber 6 increases and the oil pressure exceeds the force of small spring 8, small needle valve 7 is raised, the fuel reaches nozzle 10 and it is ejected from small nozzle 11. When the fuel pressure has increased further and the pressure of the oil that has reached large oil chamber 4 below large needle valve 3 has exceeded the force of large spring 12, large needle valve 3 rises and a gap is produced between large needle valve 3 and valve seats 13, 14. By this, the fuel enters groove 15 between valve seats 13 and 14, and here it is ejected from many large nozzle holes 16 and small nozzle holes 11.
