Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the appropriate alteration of break pressure in a wide range, by providing a deceleration-responsive liquid pressure control valve with an orifice in a passage which connects an inlet chamber and a spring chamber to each other and by preventing the tension of a load spring from increasing beyond necessity at sharp braking.
CONSTITUTION: An inlet chamber 15 and an outlet chamber 10 are connected to each other through a valve 33 on a plunger 9. The inlet chamber 15 and a spring chamber 22 are connected to each other through a passage C. The spring chamber 22 is connected to a control chamber 23 through a deceleration-responsive valve 46. The pressure of the control chamber 23 acts to regulate the tension of a preload spring 25. The communication passage C is provided with an orifice 29 lest the pressure of the spring chamber 22 should sharply rise even if the pressure of the inlet chamber 15 sharply goes up at sharp braking. As a result, the deceleration- responsive valve 46 acts accurately so that a control piston 21 also acts accurately. For that reason, the tension of the preload spring 25 is made so accurate that break pressure is rendered appropriate.
