Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate adverse effects of adhering of ink mist, dust, etc., by executing electromagnetic detection or adjustment of flow of charged ink drops by voltage signal induced on a coil arranged in the vicinity of the flow of the charged ink drops. CONSTITUTION:A direction-detecting coil 10 is installed so that its center comes to such a position that a pitch between neighboring coils comes to a constant position, and when ink drops jetted out of a multinozzle head 7 are changed by a charging electrode 8 and made to pass through the direction-detecting coil 10, deviation of the charged ink drops is detected. This detection signal is amplified by a direction- detecting signal amplifier 12 and converted to a current which passes toward a direction-adjusting coil 9 through a direction-adjusting drive unit 13. As a result, by the magnetic field generated in the direction-adjusting coil 9, deviation of splashing direction of the ink drops from a prescribed position becomes smaller.
