Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize ink droplets and thereby an image as well by a method wherein a recording signal is impressed between a needle electrode provided in an orifice and an accelerating electrode provided on the side of the paper for recording, a magnetic field is given to the needle electrode and further a magnetic ink is employed. CONSTITUTION:In the method wherein the recording signal 8 is impressed on the needle electrode 3 provided in the orifice 2 for ink-jet, while an accelerating potential 9 is impressed on the accelerating electrode 5 provided on the rear side of the paper for recording, and thereby the force caused by dielectric polarization and dielectric charge is applied to the ink 7 to make the ink into particles and let it fly for recording, the magnetic field generated by a permanent magnet and the magnetic field generated by a DC or AC electromagnet 10' are impressed on the needle electrode 3, while the magnetic ink is used as the ink. In this way, the surface A of the ink in the vicinity of the tip part of the needle electrode 3 is projected and thus the jetting of ink is stabilized.
