Abstract

PURPOSE:To faithfully trace recording tracks at the reproducing by so constituting the rotary magnetic head that electromagnetic force by which the head is moved in the axial direction of a revolving shaft is generated. CONSTITUTION:The device is so constituted that a part of a bobbin 9 having a coil 8 is positioned in the gap 13 of a magnetic circuit that a plate spring member 15 which is fixed at one end to a spring mounting member 14 mounted to a yoke 12 is mounted to the bobbin 9 to hold the bobbin 9. When current is flowed to the coil 8 through slip ring 18 from the brush fixed to the outside, the driving force owing to electromagnetic force is generated to make the bobbin 9, hence a rotary magnetic head 5 movable up to the position where the elastic force of the spring member 15 and the driving force generated balance, in the axial direction of the revolving shaft 17. Hence, if the signal having detected the relative position relation of recording tracks and the rotary magnetic head is applied through the slip ring 18 of this rotary magnetic head device at the reproducing, tracking may be made faithfully even to the curve of the recording tracks.
