Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent scattering and disturbance of an image and to enhance image quality, by coating the contact part of the base of a conveyor coming into contact with a transfer paper bearing a nonfixed image, with a layer having a surface resistivty lower than that of a conveying member. CONSTITUTION:A paper 3 bearing a nonfixed image 6 is conveyed on a belt conveyor, passed sliding on a guide member 2, guided to the nipping part of the roller pair 11, 12 of a fixing device 1, and fixed there. Since the guide member 2 consists of a base 22 made of a high resistance insulating material, and a coated layer 21 made of a material having lower surface resistivity than that of the base 22, a charge caused by friction with the paper 3, or a charge given to the reverse side of the paper 3 disappeared gradually from the surface of the member 2, and a charge enough to disturb the image is not accumulated.
