Abstract
PURPOSE:To make accurate measurement by transmitting liminescence of a scintillator up to a place of good atmospheric condition for measurement in the state of light, as it is. CONSTITUTION:A scintillator 10 is placed in the inside of a radiant ray measuring section 22 to which radioactive gas is introduced. The radiant ray measuring section 22 is composed of a cylindrical vacuum container 24 that forms a black box, and incidence of light from outside is excluded. Radioactive gas is introduced in the condition of reduced pressure or vacuum. The luminescence of the scintillator 10 is transmitted to a photoelectric conversion section 28 installed apart from the radiant ray measuring section through an optional transmission line 26. The electrical signals converted from light to electricity in the photoelectric conversion section 28 are counted by a counter 20.
