Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately measure the concentration of a substance present between a measuring unit and such a body having a temperature as a tube wall through a simple construction, by utilizing infrared energy radiated from the body. CONSTITUTION:Infrated rays radiated from a body 1 are condensed and passed through two kinds of interference filters Fa, Fb different in characteristic from each other. The quantities of radiation energy of the infrared rays passed through the filters Fa, Fb are detected by detectors 4a, 4b. The output signals of the detectors are amplified. The ratio of the amplified signals is computed by a calculator. The average concentration of a measured substance can be determined from the ratio.
