Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the exhaustion of noxious gas greatly when a speed change gear is changed and improve the cost of fuel by providing a means to detect the position of a speed change gear for controlling the fuel injection timing automatically on the basis of the information of the position of the speed change gear detected by the said means.
CONSTITUTION: When the position of a speed change gear is changed optionally by a driver at the starting of a car or to correspond to the state of a road or the like, output signals from a detection circuit 2 of the revolution speed of an engine, a detection circuit 4 of the rack position of a fuel injection pump 3, and a detection circuit 3 of the position of the speed change gear are supplied to a CPU10 of a microcomputer 8. For reducing CO in the exhaust gas and economizing the cost of fuel, whether the fuel injection timing is proper or not is judged on the basis of the output signal of a detection circuit 5 for the revolution of the injection pump 3. Meanwhile, according to the resultant judgement, a desirable angle of fuel injection is given to a fuel injection angle control device 16 via an oil pressure control valve 13 for controlling.
