Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an exhaust port from being closed by water grasses or the like, by extending the rear end edge of a ring nut, which is fitted in the exhaust port of an engine, to the vicinity of the front end edge of the blade of the propeller so that the distance between the ring nut and the propeller blade is small.
CONSTITUTION: A fitting ring 10 integrated with a bearing housing 5 is fitted in the exhaust port 9 of an engine and pushed and secured by a ring nut 11. The edge 11a of the open rear end of the ring nut 11 is extended to the vicinity of the edge 14a of the front end of the blade 14 of a propeller to define a minute clearance 22 between the front end edge of the propeller blade 14 and the rear end edge 11 of the ring nut 11. Since the clearance 11 is very small, water grasses or algae are kept from coming in between the front end edge 14a of the propeller blade 14 and the rear end edge 11a of the ring nut 11.
