Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a thermal head that can prevent the size of a printed dot from enlarging and prevent the periphery of a dot from blurring, wherein as a protective film on a heating element is used a material that can provide the film with a larger heat conductivity in a direction of its thickness than that in a direction parallel to the surface thereof.
