Abstract

PURPOSE: To adjust the length of legs of produced parts, by screwing a jack board on which a knockout pin is placed, to a jack guide which is elevated and lowered together with the second ram of a two-stage stroke cylinder, and by adjusting the locaion of the upper end of the knockout pin whose upper end is located in the lower mold, by the jack board.
CONSTITUTION: This roll forging machine is composed of a upper mold 10 which is rotated by a driving source 6 and makes precession, and a lower mold 26 which is coaxial with the upper mold 10 and which is supported by a slider 18 through a lower bolster 21. The slider 18 is elevated and lowered by a two-stage stroke cylinder 29, and the lower mold 26 is elevated or lowered by elevating or lowering the slider 18, and thus parts are manufactured. To adjust the length of legs of parts thus reduced, a knockout pin 27 and a jack guide 40 are taken out from a cylinder joint 34 and a jack board 41 is screwed to the jack guide 40, and then, the height of the jack board 41 is adjusted. Then, when a bolt 42 is tightened, the jack board 41 is pulled along the direction where the jack guide is screwed, and fixed. After the jack guide 40 is inserted into the cylinder joint 34 and reassembled.
