Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the length of dies for outward flanges and to straighten titled parts without producing gallings and flaws by utilizing adapter bushings constituting parts holding holes of a rotary table as part of said dies.
CONSTITUTION: When a rotary table is rotated and a flanged cylindrical sintered part 4 is dropped into an adapter bushing 30, the lower part thereof fits into the leading end part 7a of a core rod 7 for guide and is positioned. Next, a core rod 11 for straightening is inserted from the upper side of a die 50a for outward flange and a die 5b for straightening of body into the through- hole 4b of the part 4, and an upper punch 10 is lowered. Then, the bottom surface of the part 4 contacts with a lower punch 12, and the part 4 is straight- ened under pressure by means of the dies 50a, 5b and the rod 11 so as to conform to the shapes thereof. At this time, the part 4 is beforehand aligned of center with the rod 7 and therefore, the production of gallings and flaws is obviated.
