Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable two workings to be performed continuously with one die by forming the leading end face and base end face of a lower die mutually parallel by suitably providing difference of a surface level and aligning these faces to the top end surface of an elevating die to be disposed between both faces.
CONSTITUTION: First, a plate material P is inserted and its edge is abutted to a strap plate 10 which has beforehand been suitably determined. Next, an upper die 1 is lowered to complete the bending of the edge of the material P. Thence, the bent edge 11 is abutted to one side 12 of an elevating die 3 which has ascended and reset and the upper die 1 is lowered, then the bent edge 11 is further bent and this completes folding. According to this composite bending apparatus, the composite bending which has hitherto been accomplished in two processes by using two dies is performed continuously with one die.
